Stories have power. NAMI Metro Baltimore believes that sharing stories about mental health and recovery breaks down the stigma about mental illness. In this engaging presentation, you will hear from three individuals about the challenges and triumphs of living with a mental health condition. You’ll hear common threads in these stories, and you may be able to relate to the feelings of isolation, shame, hope and support. We encourage you to listen, reflect on your own mental health, and ask questions.
We welcome students from all Baltimore-area colleges to this free webinar. This event is part of NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore’s week-long college mental health campaign, #IWillListen, taking place from October 4-10.
Giveaway Alert: The first 20 students who register for and attend this webinar will receive a free #IWillListen t-shirt!
About the Speakers: Sarena, Michael, Yi, and Elena are all young adults who have experienced mental health conditions. They share their stories and lead support groups with NAMI Metro Baltimore to give back to the community. Their stories are unique and varied, and they all welcome questions from students!
