Mental Health First Aid training teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This training takes the fear and hesitation out of starting these conversations by improving understanding and providing an action plan that teaches people to safely and responsibly identify and address a potential mental health or substance use challenge.
This training will be a blended virtual session. There will be virtual pre-work that needs to be done prior to the virtual instructor lead portion.
Students: Students will be trained for free with the assistance of a donor gift, given to the SCC.
Faculty/Staff: The SCC will request to have your school/department pay on your behalf through the professional development budget; your department will be invoiced after the training by the Division of Student Affairs Business Office
